Recently I had a discussion with fizzbut and zunshiner in the comments section of a game (#670) about the way we use the keyboard to solve these puzzles and I'd like to follow it here.

Me, for example, while I'm right-handed, I use the keypad with my left hand and click on the cells with the right hand (on the mouse). This is a bit awkward but that's the position I'the comfortable in.
fizzbut, him, uses the number row keys, with a certain amount of efficiency since he is often the fastest.

And you all, how do you play ?

I'm not fast at all. I use the number pad with my right hand; the number row keys with my left hand; the mouse with my right hand. It's really all mixed-up. I don't think I could use the keypad with my left hand nor the mouse with my left hand. I don't think I'll ever be really fast.

Number keypad with the left, mouse with the right. A long time ago I got used to entering lots of numbers on the number pad, so that's pretty automatic. Makes it faster to never have to look at the keyboard. Though sometimes I do lose my place and end up one row off, but I usually notice that pretty quickly.

Yes, I too can handle the keypad without looking after having entered a zillion numbers with it. And on french-layout keyboards, number row keys have to be shifted to produce a number, so I always use the keypad.
But with the left hand and without looking it's a bit more prone to typos.

I'll have to try "the fizzbut way"...

Today I realized that i have two different ways of using keyboard and mouse:
1) right hand mouse - left hand number row
2) right hand the little stick you have on some laptop keyboards between the letters g / h and b - left hand number row
