FReDD, check out yesterday's comments. You reasoned right but your answer was wrong.
Here's one for today. Without determining where any other numbe goes in the puzzle you can put a 3 in the bottom left square of the center 3x3 square. Why?
I've been trying to find harder ones, but these puzzles are too easy for that. Anybody can find a harder one let's see what you have.

Well, it's interesting because when solving the puzzle I wouldn't exactly reason like that. I constantly try to place other numbers, reasoning in 3x3 squares rather than rows and columns. Anyway, my 2 ¢:
It's the only possible place for the 3 in the 6th row : column 2 is forbidden (a 3 already), columns 7 and 9 too (a 3 in the 3x3 square).

Your right, with this puzzle that wouldn't be the first place I look. These puzzles are easy enough that you can use just one type of reasoning. But a harder puzzle your options are fewer that you don't want to get trapped in one line of reasoning. For those who find these puzzles challenging to solve this way may be option they find easier.
