why are the puzzles never hard?

CavemanJim, I guess its partly because the hard rating is highly subjective and partly because I am still tweaking the code to generate puzzles. Keep in mind this site is only a couple of weeks old, at the moment it is going through its teething phase. There are a few changes that I will be implementing to the code over the next few days, these changes will almost certainly mean that there is a wider varienty of generated games available. So stay tuned, in the mean-time enjoy the game and the community

(As you have probably already noticed, the site has had quite a few new features added to it since its debute a couple of weeks ago. This includes better support for Internet Explorer, ability to use the arrow keys to move from box to box, improved stats, a 'Average Best Time' ranking and much more. Over the next few days even more improvements will be implemented).

Oops. I really got about 3 min on this one. My IE doesn't send the scores so I meant to redo it in firefox and fill in the last letter at the same time. Apparently, I forgot to wait.
